Erwin Christmas Parade canceled because of rising COVID-19 cases

Organizers with the annual Erwin Christmas Parade have decided to cancel this year’s event because of rising COVID cases.

That decision was made Thursday according to the Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce following the Chamber’s Board of Directors meeting.

Officials were originally given the green light in Aug. to hold a revised parade and had planned for the parade to take place on Nov. 28.
