US Senate confirms ETSU President’s nomination to TVA Board of Directors

The United State Senate has elected ETSU President Dr. Brian Noland to the Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors.

The Senate voted 84-5 with 11 senators not voting to confirm Noland’s nomination, who’s term will run through May of 2024.

TN US Senator Lamar Alexander applauded the confirmation, stating in part that Dr. Noland is a respected leader in East Tennessee and his administrative experience makes him the right person to keep TVA on a good path.
