TDOC resuming visitation for inmates April 10
Visitation at correctional facilities in Tennessee is set to resume on April 10.
The Tennessee Department of Corrections has suspended visitation across all state facilities since the COVID-19 pandemic first started last March, but officials have decided to lift those restrictions on account of community data from the department of health as well as vaccines administered at each facility.
All visitors 18 and older will be required to schedule an appointment, go through a screening process, and wear a mask while on a visit with an inmate. Locally, the Northeast Correctional Complex will hold visitation times Thursday-Sunday from 7 a.m-5 p.m.
