Sullivan County School employees to receive year-end bonus

All employees in the Sullivan County School system will be getting a bonus added to their last check of the school year.

The board of education approved a stipend for teachers and other personnel during their monthly meeting Tuesday night. $1,000 will go to employees who worked the entire school year. Part-time employees will get a $500 bonus, while new employees will receive a $250 bonus.

More than 1,300 employees work in the district, and the funding was made available due to the state approved 2% raise for BEP instructional employees and CARES Act funding.
