Downtown Improvement Grants awarded to 3 NETN localities

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and the Department of Economic and Community Development just announced the recipients of its Downtown Improvement Grants with three in Northeast TN. More than $4.76 million in Rural Economic Funding will be awarded with Sullivan, Washington and Greene Counties all receiving funds. The Downtown Kingsport Association in Sullivan County and Main Street Greeneville in Greene County each receiving $300,000 and Jonesborough in Washington County over $104,000. Each recipient will be required to match 25% of their funding.
