U.S. News & World Report ranks some Kingsport schools in top 10% statewide

U.S. News & World Report has published their annual rankings of public elementary schools, public middle schools, and public high schools. Five schools within Kingsport City Schools were ranked in Tennessee’s top 10 percent in each respective category.  John Adams Elementary School, Andrew Johnson Elementary School, and George Washington Elementary School were named in the 2025 Best Elementary Schools in Tennessee. Ross N. Robinson Middle School has been listed in the Best Middle Schools and Dobyns-Bennett High School has been named one of the Best High Schools in Tennessee. In addition to being ranked in the top 10 percent in Tennessee, Dobyns-Bennett was also ranked in the top 10 percent nationally.  In total, U.S. News has assigned over 89,000 state ranks across its elementary, middle and high schools rankings.
