FEMA extends deadline for disaster related unemployment assistance
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has extended the deadline for Hurricane Helene-related Disaster Unemployment Assistance to January 7 in Tennessee. Those who lost their jobs or had their hours reduced due to Helene may apply. To get benefits, one must live in, work in, or travel to work through Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Johnson, Unicoi, or Washington counties.
