ETSU announces Roan Scholarship recipients

The Roan Scholarship is one of East Tennessee State University’s most prestigious honors, and the latest recipients of the distinction were announced Wednesday. The scholarship, established in 1977 by Louie Gump, recognizes high school students who lead and serve their community. It pays for tuition, fees, room, board and books. The four local Roan Scholarship recipients are Kate Carter of Science Hill High School, Johnson City, Audie Brown, Unicoi County High School in Erwin, Ethan Tuell, Providence Academy, Johnson City, and Drew Armbrister, Greeneville High School in Greeneville.
