Sheriff’s Office: Chain-wielding Jonesborough man confesses attack

A Jonesborough man confessed to an assault and was in possession of the chain he used in the felony, according to a report from the Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office.

County officers arrested Ronnie Kaye Jones, 64, near Rock House Road and charged him with aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.

The victim told investigators Jones came onto his property and struck him in the head and neck with the chain. Jones was released from jail after securing his $26,000 bond.
