Bristol shooting suspect also wanted for Bluff City shooting

A Bristol, Virginia shooting suspect who remains at large is also a suspect in a separate shooting that happened earlier this month in Bluff City. The Bluff City Police Department says that 37 year old Harley Pope of Bristol, Virginia, was identified as a suspect in connection to an April 8 shooting on Highland Drive. According to Bluff City police, no one was injured in the shooting, which they described as an isolated incident that occurred during an argument. Pope is also facing charges in a April 5 shooting in Bristol, Virginia that injured another man. Bristol, Virginia police attempted to serve Pope with an arrest warrant Wednesday near Dixie Street and Corporation Street, but Pope alluded officers. Police continued their search for him on Thursday. Both police departments said Pope should be considered armed and dangerous.
