Big Stone Gap burglaries under investigation

An investigation is underway after a string of reported burglaries in Big Stone Gap between December 19 and 29. Suspects were identified after a traffic stop turned up a stolen firearm and jewelry. The suspects have been identified as 50-year-old Chad Everette Bowman and 47-year-old Brilla Wade. Wade was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia. The suspects are thought to also be responsible for similar crimes across Southwest Virginia. Bowman will face multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. His current location is unknown.
