Bristol councilman posts public apology admitting ethics violation
A Bristol, Virginia city councilman who openly admitted to breaching the council’s code of ethics multiple times fessed-up to his latest.
Michael Pollard posted a message on social media explaining his latest violation–a direct private message with someone containing false statements about City Manager Randall Eads. That statement also included lies about other city employees and sharing details that were told to him in a private setting.
The apology to Eads and others came on the heels of a Freedom Of Information Act request to Pollard from Eads for messages related to Eads’ reappointment.
Pollard said Monday he issued an apology to Eads following his admission.
