Bristol TN Board of Education opposes school voucher proposal
The Bristol Tennessee Board of Education met and voted to send a letter to Governor Bill Lee opposing his school voucher program. The meeting resulted in a 3-2 vote. Eric Cuddy, Bristol Tennessee BOE chairman says the board felt it was important for the school board to show support for the school system, but most importantly, for teachers and staff. The board members who voted “no” stated they do not support the voucher but they don’t necessarily approve of sending the letter.
