Early surveys show EF2 and EF1 tornadoes touched down in Tennessee Thursday
National Weather Service officials have classified a tornado that tore through Deer Lodge as the first February tornado in Morgan County’s history.
The EF2 event had estimated winds of 135 miles per hour Thursday night while an EF1 tornado produced damages and max winds of 110 mph in Grainger County.
Authorities said a mother and daughter were killed while three others suffered non-life threatening injuries.
