Elizabethton makes Judge Stacy Street interim judge

The Elizabethton City Council voted to make Judge Stacy Street interim municipal court judge in the absence of Judge Jason Holly. Street is a criminal court judge and volunteered to serve as acting municipal judge. Holly was re-elected in November, but his law license was suspended by the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility. If Holly remains ineligible to serve at the end of January, he can be considered “continuously disabled and then the City Council could appoint an acting judge who would serve until the next election.
