Group searches for signatures to honor Virginia female veterans with new license plate

An organization in the Commonwealth is appealing for enough signatures to authorize a new license plate in Virginia that would honor women veterans of the armed forces.

The Virginia Department of Veterans Services needs 450 signatures and orders to meet General Assembly guidelines for the new plate to be produced.

Virginia has a female veteran population of 109,000–the largest of any state in the U.S.
