Johnson City nurse charged with fraud/identity theft
A nurse in Johnson City has been charged with attempted credit card fraud and identity theft after allegedly stealing from a hospital patient. According to an affidavit, a Johnson City Medical Center patient told the Johnson City Police Department that their debit card had been fraudulently used on January 20 and 21. The card was reportedly used at American Eagle, DoorDash, Zara and Uber for just over $1,000. The name connected to the transactions came back as Charlotte Nangca, who was a nurse at Johnson City Medical Center at the time. The JCPD obtained a written confession to the crimes and she has been charged with attempted fraudulent use of a debit/credit card and identity theft. A warrant for her arrest was issued on Jan. 23.and she was arrested Tuesday.
