Johnson City woman admits to using taser gun to injure 8-year-old son
A Johnson City woman is under investigation by police and state child protective service officials after a preliminary review showed she used a taser to injure her 8-year-old son.
Christina Johnson, 28, is charged with child abuse and false reporting, according to a police report issued Wednesday.
Johnson was questioned about her son’s visible injury and she changed her story twice, telling the examiners she didn’t know how the child was hurt and then told them the child had used the weapon on himself.
The JCPD report said Johnson then admitted to the crime and was taken into custody. She was released after posting a $6,000 bond, according to detention center records.
