Marion, Virginia man charged with sexual assault of juvenile

A Smyth County, Virginia man is jailed without bond after an investigation into a series of sexual assaults involving an underage child.

A report from Sheriff Chip Shuler’s office says Marcus Evan Conrath, 32, of Marion, is facing five charges including rape and sodomy based on the information supplied to police this week.

Conrath is scheduled for arraignment in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
