Police: Edgemont Towers resident started 4 a.m. fire

Bristol Tennessee investigators are labeling an early Wednesday morning fire as arson.

A city police report said Kari Ann Tuten, 40, was cornered at her Edgemont Towers apartment and it was determined that Tuten started the blaze that resulted in her neighbors being evacuated.

Tuten was taken to an area hospital for evaluation then released. She is charged with aggravated arson, vandalism, and reckless endangerment.
