Project to install speed humps on Greeneville streets begins

A report from Greeneville town officials says a new initiative to slow down speeders on side streets is now underway as the first of more than a dozen speed humps have been installed on Carson and Forest streets.

Policemen continue to receive complaints about speeders on secondary neighborhoods lanes to avoid major routes.

The project was approved in October and funded by a safety grant furnished by Norfolk Southern.
