Space heater suspected in Fall Branch house fire
One person was transported to a hospital for observation due to smoke inhalation during a house fire in Washington County, Tennessee on Monday night. Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department believes a space heater is to have been the cause of the fire, which fully engulfed the home on Painter Road. Officials said ammunition that was stored in the home exploded. One person sustained smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital for observation. Fire officials say to never plug a space heater into an extension cord or power strip, and plug the device directly into a wall outlet.
