Sullivan’s second shooting in four days based in Blountville

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has worked its second fatal shooting in four days. The recent case involves an incident on Rodefer Hollow Road in Blountville.

The 911 call came just after 12:30 Wednesday morning, reporting a 48-year-old man had been shot. Deputies arrived at the residence and found the wounded man dead from his injuries.

Investigators continue to gather facts and will release more details when they become available.

The first shooting was a fatal encounter at a home in Bluff City Sunday.

The report noted there is no danger to the public.
