Tennessee Dept. of Health outlines initial plan for COVID-19 vaccine distribution
While it is still unknown when a COVID-19 vaccine will be ready, the state of Tennessee has plans in place for when one becomes available.
The state’s department of health has sent an initial draft of detailed plans for COVID-19 vaccine distribution to the CDC.
It’s preliminary structure includes 5% of the state’s vaccine allocation to be distributed equitably among all 95 counties, 10% of the state’s vaccine allocation will be reserved for targeted areas with high vulnerability to sickness and death from COVID-19, and 85% of the state’s vaccine allocation will be distributed among all counties based on population size.
